Our Sunday afternoon entertainment in November will be on the 3rd Sunday, rather than 2nd Sunday which is Remembrance Sunday and the concert room is booked for another event. On Sunday 17th November the Lost Boys will be on stage from 3pm, please update your diaries.

Lindley Liberal Club is situated in the centre of Lindley village adjacent to the famous Lindley Clock Tower. We are approximately two miles northwest of Huddersfield Town Centre, easily accessible by a regular bus service, and currently enjoying a membership of over 2,000 members.

About Lindley Liberal Club

Lindley Liberal Club is open to members and their guests, however, non-members are welcome to come and make a decision about joining the club.  The entire club was re-decorated in 2017.

There are three rooms on the ground floor with a bar in each and all are accessible for people with mobility problems. There is the FW Sykes Concert room where most entertainment happens, the Clock Tower Suite a quiet lounge for people to relax, and finally the Tap room which has two large televisions. Throughout the rest of the building we have the snooker room, kitchen, bowling green, beer garden and much more.

We have a number of rooms available for hire including the air-conditioned Concert Room which is available for hire for functions during certain days and evenings. We also have in-house catering which can provide food at competitive rates. The meeting room is available for hire and can accommodate up to 40 people.  We also have our bowling pavilion which can accommodate up to 20 people.

A number of groups meet at the club on a regular basis. We have Slimming World, The Bubble Venture, Women’s Institute and Chimes to name just a few. Plus we have a Chess Club, Bowls Club, Stamp Club, Coin Club and Book Club.

The club is accessible every day from 9am for snooker and bowling although the bar opens later. We also run a weekly lotto draw with slips available throughout the club and the prize money can be up to £1000

The club has BT Sports and Sky Sports and every Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon football is shown on the big screen in the concert room. Other matches are shown on the televisions in the Taproom.

Members annual subscriptions (subs) of £12 are due every January and must be paid prior to the Annual General Meeting. These can be paid over the bar.

Applications from new members are welcome and there is a joining fee of £6 in addition to the annual subscription. Forms can be downloaded here or collected from behind the bar. New memberships can be paid over the bar. They are then considered by the committee and if approved a telephone call or email will be sent inviting the new member to collect their membership card from behind the bar.

Members who have had a membership for 10 consecutive years and are over 65 are entitled to life membership.
